I went out to Al Sabo in Kalamazoo yesterday. Besides a few spots of snow, it’s in ride ready condition. It was awesome taking my Titus out for the first time, what a great ride! I can’t wait to get out again, hopefully I can get out to Fort Custer in Battle Creek before the nasty weather hits us this weekend. I’d like to see if it would be possible to add some technical stuff out at Al Sabo. I wonder if they would allow someone to come in and build some stuff on their bike specific trails. I would volunteer for that project for sure!

It was a beautiful day for a ride.  The sun was out and it was about 50 degrees in Southwest Michigan today.  I couldn’t resist the opportunity to get out my road bike and ride.  Most of the roads are clear and only a few had spots of water on them.  I was able to get in 20.5 miles today and it felt great.  Some of the back roads are pretty rough after the winter months, pot holes and cracks everywhere.  Not a big deal though, many more rides to come now that the nicer weather is here!  Time to start riding more to get ready for the Yankee Springs mountain bike race on April 18th.
